Technologies Validation and Testing Center
of Southern Arava
The Eilat-Eilot Renewable Energy Initiative, in partnership with the Arava Institute for Environmental Studies, has established the Renewable Energy Technologies Validation and Testing Center (REVC) for technology developers and financial institutions.
The main goal of the REVC is to help renewable energy technologies to become bankable by setting up pilot projects, monitoring and validating their performance.
The services that we provide to our clients include:
- Top-of-the-line physical infrastructure
- Monitoring, testing and validation
- Assistance with government procedures including grid connection if required
- Attaining government incentives

- Marketing and exposure under the Eilat-Eilot Renewable Energy brand and the International Renewable Energy Conference
Technical Services
Photovoltaics Department
- Online monitoring of Photovoltaic module performance data via the internet.
- Measuring the KWp/Year AC output while coupled to a grid-tied inverter during the course of 12 months.
- Characterization of DC performance during outdoor conditions, including:
I-V curves, Pmax, Isc, Voc, Ipm, Vpm, temperature coefficients and conversion to theoretical STC values. - Determining the annual rate of module PV degradation during a 12 month outdoor exposure test, by taking monthly I-V curves
(whilst in DC operation) and monitoring the rate of degradation.
