Education & Academia
The Eilat-Eilot Renewable Energy Initiative recognizes that educating the youth is a must to secure a future with secure energy independence via renewable energy sources. To this aim, the initiative has initiated educational programs for all ages.
Preschool to High School Programs
The Initiative is determined to make significant headway in the area of sustainable communities and renewable energy education for young people from preschool to high school age. I has engaged two teams of teachers to develop curiculum in learning units. The Initiative has also commissioned energy surveys in the area schools and is encouraging school facilities to modify their energy behavior. These efforts have already begun to be implemented in many Eilat regional schools.
The Initiative has inaugurated an innovative contest and conference for high school age youth, which calls for submissions of research papers and proposals on sustainable energy.
