Call for Presentations
The upcoming International Renewable Energy Conference is the fourth conference of its kind to take place in Eilat, Israel. Since 2008 this event has been placed as the leading Renewable Energy conference in Israel, as well as a conference of global significance. Close to two thousand participants from Israel and abroad filled the lecture halls and exhibition area for three full days of lectures from senior industry leaders; intensive discussions and top notch business networking. The Energy Efficiency track was especially successful. During the conference, engaging meetings took place that lead to tangible results in the field, and the conference received enthusiastic reactions from the participants.
As in previous conferences, participants were treated to a tour highlighting renewable energy projects in the Eilat-Eilot region. During last year’s conference, the new Eilat-Eilot Validation Center held its opening ceremony. The tour demonstrated to the participants how the vision of turning the Eilat region into a leading renewable energy center is indeed becoming a reality.

Main Objectives
Following the presentation of the regional energy independence vision in 2007 and initial achievements in 2009, the Eilat-Eilot International Renewable Energy Conference 2010 acheived new heights with its focus on exposure of tactics, means and actual fieldwork in preparation for the next critical stage – massive applications of Renewable Energy and Energy Conservation as an immediate and comprehensive solution to the energy crisis in Israel and the world at large.
As in last year’s conference, this coming conference will emphasis soluions that lead to a new economy paradigm - one that is not based on fossil fuels and does not harm the delicate web of life on our planet. The up-coming conference will also stress the need to eliminate dependence on oil and present relevant measures to reach that goal.
The Eilat-Eilot Renewable Energy Initiative was launched in 2006 and has achieved success and strong public and governmental recognition.
Model for Solving the Energy Crisis
The Eilat-Eilot Renewable Energy Initiative will demonstrate to the conference’s participants its new strides as a model for solving the energy crisis in the areas of:
- Advancing awareness and education
- Research and development
- Technology commercialization
- Production of energy from renewable resources
- Energy conservation
- Supportive energy regulation
The Eilat-Eilot Renewable Energy Initiative, the host of this conference is also the coordination body overseeing Eilat’s regional development of this model for energy independence.
Business and Technology Opportunities
In recent years it has become apparent that the application of a model of this type is conducive to outstanding business opportunities. Emphasis at the conference will be placed on presentation of business opportunities in the emerging renewable energy market in Israel in general and in the Eilat-Eilot region in particular.
These opportunities have arisen as a direct result of the ambitious goals and supporting energy regulations that were proclaimed by Israeli decision makers at the openings of previous conferences. Once again, innovative Israeli technologies willdominate center stage. Israel is prominent in technological innovation and accelerated technology development, combined with increasingly supportive regulatory and business framework will be presented at the Eilat Conference as the key to the worldwide renewable energy revolution.
